Bob Dylab

Bob Dylan is the most influential musician/singer-songwriter of our time.

Dylan has been inspired by the songs of Woody Guthrie, Robert Johnson, and Hank Williams, as well as the music and performance styles of Buddy Holly and Little Richard. His recording career, spanning fifty years, has explored numerous distinct traditions in American song from folk, blues and country to gospel, rock and roll, and rockabilly to English, Scottish, and Irish folk music, embracing even jazz and swing.

Youth

Bob Dylan’s real name is Robert Allen Zimmerman. He was born on the 24 of Maj in 1941 in Duluth in United States. When Bob Dylan was seven years old his family moved to Hibbing. In Hibbing Bob Dylan spent rest of his juvenile years. Bob Dylans parents are Abraham Zimmerman and Beatrice Stone. In August 1959 Bob Dylan moved to Minneapolis and began studying at Minnesota university. At the same time he began to grow fond of folkmusic.

In 1985, Dylan explained the attraction that folk music had exerted on him: "The thing about rock'n'roll is that for me anyway it wasn't enough ... There were great catch-phrases and driving pulse rhythms ...but the songs weren't serious or didn't reflect life in a realistic way. I knew that when I got into folk music, it was more of a serious type of thing. The songs are filled with more despair, more sadness, more triumph, more faith in the supernatural, much deeper feelings." He also got positive publicity with a review of a critic Robert Shelton, which got published in New York Times.

Producer John Hammond gave him an album contract with Columbia Records. Bob Dylans first record was named Bob Dylan. The most important record of Dylans folkmusicera is considered to be The Frewheeling Bob Dylan in 1963. The record included the folkmusic classic Blowing in the Wind. Bob Dylan made two other acustic records, The Times They Are a-Changin' and Another Side of Bob Dylan.
